I travelled here with my two children for a short holiday over New Year. It is just around the corner from the Havatas airport shuttle buses, a few strides to the metro, and various buses a short walk across the square, so on location with all the shops and cafes close by, well the reason we searched long and hard for such a hotel at a reasonable price. And if you get a room high enough with a park view, you can also see the Bosphorus bridge across from Gezi Park. We were on the 4th floor and could just see it, but it would be better higher up. The room was adequate, and the beds very comfortable. Really warm too which was great having escaped blizzards of snow outside. A full bath, and hot water with great pressure, something of a luxury. The breakfast selection was very good, and there is coffee and tea in your room too. I would certainly recommend this hotel, especially in winter! Great location and the bath a great bonus. The wifi was good too. No issues at all.
One of the best hotels in Istanbul, we stayed there for three days and we enjoyed our stay. It has a great location, it is very clean, respectful and helpful staff, plus a very tasty and delicious breakfast with amazing view on the top of the roof.
My husband and I arrive very early in the morning. We were reluctant to go to the hotel as we knew check in time started at 2pm, but we thought we could just leave our luggage there and wonder around until check in. We got to hotel just before 10am and I'm guessing the manager was the person who dealt with us. He told us to go down for breakfast while they got our room ready. We were checked in by 10.30am 😀. We found all staff friendly. Location great. Clean room.
Central and Charming
I stayed in this hotel for a couple of times. It is in the heart of Taksim, İstanbul. It is very easy to come by an airport shuttle from Atatürk Airport. It only takes an hour from the airport to the hotel. the staff is very polite and helpful. the rooms are very clean and elegant. the breakfast is delicious, clean. I would stay here again for sure.
Lovely stay in Taksim Square
Germir Palas Hotel is one of the best hotel experience I've had so far. The rooms are clean, nice and comfortable ( + really warn, since outside there were temperatures below 0 ). The staff is always ready to help you with any request and they will do it with a smile on their face. The area where the hotel is located offers you access to several transport means: metro, airport shuttle, tram, taxi, funicular. Plus, İstiklâl Caddesi ( the most famous avenue in Istanbul ) starts in Taksim Square. The restaurant inside the hotel serves delicious food. We also had our New Years Eve dinner here. I appreciated the fact that even if they had only 6 persons who made reservations for New Year's Eve dinner, they did not cancel the night and it was just great: the food, the serving and the gentleman playing the piano. If I would visit again Istanbul, I would definitely return to Germir Palas Hotel.
